The FPC Coffee Cart rolls into the narthex of the church once each month to provide an opportunity to buy organic, fairly traded coffee, tea, and chocolate products from Equal Exchange Co-op, with all profits going toward our mission in Posoltega, Nicaragua. FPC contact: Debbi Conkle – firstname.lastname@example.org
Posoltega Mission Trip: For 20 years, we have been blessed to be paired with the congregation of Jesus of Nazareth Parish in Posoltega, Nicaragua. Outside of our biannual mission trips, we are connected through ongoing mission support for the congregation, an active community music program, university scholarships, and a hot lunch program coordinated through the Bloomington Sister Cities program.
Heifer International: We annually support Heifer International through our "Heifer Market." We fill our fellowship hall with live animals and raise over $10,000.00! Heifer International provides livestock, bees, and trees to individuals in economically-challenged areas throughout the world. Along with training and continuing technical support, the families sustainably grow their financial foundation. They are expected to contribute some of the offspring of their agricultural work to their neighbors to continue the broadening of the economic base of their community.
