Advent Sermon Series/Advent Devotionals/Advent Calendars!

About the theme: Close to Home- When something hits close to home, it affects us deeply. During the Advent and Christmas season, we journey through scriptures and rituals that are tender, heavy with emotion, and vulnerable. We carry the memories and truths of this season close to our hearts. Close to Home acknowledges the “already but not yet” tension of our faith: Emmanuel is with us, and yet, God’s promised day—our everlasting home—is not fully realized. It names our deep longing for God to come close to us.

This Advent, may we be comforted by the One who dwells intimately with us. May we expand safety and sanctuary for everyone wandering far from home. May we come home, wherever home is found—to live fully with joy, hope, and courage.

Beautifully illustrated Advent Devotionals and Advent Calendars are located in the Welcome Center (please limit one per family).

                                          The Angel Tree is Coming!

For many years FPC families have had the privilege of befriending some of Area 10's most needy clients at Christmas. We call it the Angel Tree and hope your family will want to include this as a part of your family Christmas tradition.

This is the Sign up Genius link for you to sign up:

You will find the 41 names available for you to pick from.  Choose one, buy a gift (suggestions included), include a Christmas card, and bring the wrapped gift to the church office no later than Sunday, Dec. 12. Most of the clients would appreciate a grocery store gift card or one to Dollar General, where they can also get food as well as essentials.

Your generosity is appreciated more than you could possibly imagine. May this outreach program be one of your most cherished ways of giving during the holiday season.

Thank you so much.
