Faith Formation

Godly Play is a Montessori-based method that invites children to explore their faith through story, wonder, and play. Through classroom rituals, stories and play time, children discover the mystery of God’s presence in their lives, in a way that they won't have to unlearn and relearn stories of our faith as they mature.

Join us for Godly Play on Sundays from 9:50-10:50 a.m. We gather as a group at 9:45 a.m. in upper Walker Hall (near the doors to the main stairwell) before the children are guided to their classrooms:

Pre-K to Kindergarten – lower Walker Hall, Room 101

Lower Elementary (1st–4th grade) – upper Walker Hall, Room 208

Tweens (5th–7th grade) – upper Walker Hall, Room 209

Other Opportunities for Fun and Fellowship

Kids’ Night In is held once a month on the second Saturday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Drop your kids (2nd grade and younger) at church with the nursery staff for a fun evening of themed games, activities, and the occasional movie! As you might guess, this ministry is as much for the kids as it is for their parents in need of a night out!

FPC hosts an annual Halloween party open to church families and their friends, for children through 5th grade. Parents may stay and enjoy the games and activities supervised by nursery staff and youth and adult volunteers from the church. The 2019 party will be on Saturday, October 26.

The 2019 Advent Event is November 30 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. While the adults decorate the church for the holiday, children can shop at the Christmas Store ($1 handmade items selected with the help of a volunteer who helps wrap them so the gifts can be a surprise), decorate cookies, and make candles. We will gather at

6:00 p.m. for prayer and a potluck meal.

Our annual Easter Egg Hunt is a kid favorite! Children gather to hear the Easter Story as told through Godly Play before heading outside to the church lawn with baskets to hunt for plastic eggs filled with candy and small toys.
