Adult Education

Looking to add some depth to your faith? At First Presbyterian adult education focuses on providing space and opportunities to dig deep into our tradition and our practice as we all grow in our understanding of God, community and vocation.

On Sunday mornings at 9:50 a.m. during the Sunday School academic year, there are two different classes available. During church shutdown classes are held online with Zoom links distributed in church email.

Current offerings include:

Lectionary Bible Study: This group studies and disccusses Bible passages in the weekly Common Lectionary. The group uses an curriculum guide from Feasting on the Word, and volunteers take turns leading discussion. The group has moved to online format during the time the church is closed to in-person meetings. Currently the study group is meeting on Tuesday evenings. Watch the weekly church email for a Zoom link.

Faith Forum: Presentations and discussions about a wide variety of issues and concerns  Often experts in their fields

are invited to share information and insights. Topics are publicized in church bulletins and newsletters. The group is also moving to an online format, typically on Sunday or Thursday evenings. Watch church email for current topics and for a Zoom link.
